Ronaldo has now revealed that the celebration began at Real Madrid and has come very naturally to him. The origin of the celebration was explained in an interview with DAZN. Here is the snippet of the interview that will be released in full on December 26.
Cristiano Ronaldo opens up on his famous trademark ‘Siiiiuuu’ celebration
“I started saying it when I was at Real Madrid. When we all won, they said ‘siiii!’. I started saying it, I don’t know why. It came naturally to me. “I remember the preseason in Los Angeles. We played against Chelsea, I scored a goal and I did this (mimics the celebration).
“People asked me: ‘why did you do it?’ I don’t know. I did it, I turned around, but naturally, because I always say that the best things happen in a natural way.”
Speaking with Spanish TV station Cuatro afterwards, Ronaldo said“The scream? The players know I always do that shout when I score a goal or when we win.”
Cristiano Ronaldo, who now plays for Juventus, helped his side to a win vs Sampdoria with a gravity defying header. They currently lead the Serie A with a 3-point lead over Inter Milan. However, Antonio Conte’s side still have a game in hand and a win could see them equalise the current Italian Champions on points.
