CSK vs KKR Match Prediction

CSK vs KKR Match Prediction: The Sportsrush presents before you the Match Prediction of 23rd match of IPL 2019.

The 23rd match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders at Chennai. With four wins and a loss after five matches each, both teams are on eight points at the moment in IPL 2019.

Out of the three matches which Super Kings have played at home this season, they are yet to end up on the losing side. On the other hand, Knight Riders have lost one of their three away matches. The hosts would be banking on their unbeaten home spree against the No. 1 team in the points table.

CSK vs KKR – What numbers suggest?

Chennai and Kolkata have played a total of 21 matches against each other so far. Out of which, Chennai have won 12 as compared to Kolkata winning only nine matches. Out of the eight matches played at Chepauk, the hosts have a stellar 6-2 record against the Knight Riders.

In a stat which will further highlight the favourite of this clash is the average runs scored against each other. While CSK’s average score against KKR is 155, KKR’s average against CSK is 152.

CSK vs KKR – Paper value

Despite both teams being on equal points in the points table, Knight Riders look slightly better on paper primarily because of the situations from where they’ve won matches this season. While all-rounder Andre Russell deserves credit for the same, countering him will be Super Kings’ biggest challenge.

Having said that, home conditions have it in them to come to Chennai’s rescue. Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s expertise in yielding favourable results at Chepauk put Chennai Super Kings above Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the clash.
