Cyberpunk 2077 gets discounts of up to 55% just 1 month after its release

Cyberpunk 2077 has been getting huge discounts just after 1 month of its full release. It is currently available for 50% off on console and 33% off on PC.

This comes as a shock because it was the most purchased game in Steam history and is now struggling to sell copies at all. However, if you have played the game on previous-gen consoles, you could probably have seen this coming.

Cyberpunk 2077 was the crown jewel of CD Projekt Red and was one of the most hyped games of all time. Now, it is being dubbed as the “new Crysis”, simply because the game is so difficult to render.

The stunning visuals are just too much for any GPU to churn out high frames on. Even the Nvidia RTX 3090 will get you below 100 FPS with every setting maxed out in-game. Moreover, the host of bugs as well as lackluster storyline is doing the game any favors either. All of these games have made Cyberpunk 2077 the “Best/Worst Worst/Best Game of the Year”.

What are the current prices of Cyberpunk 2077?

For PS4 and Xbox One, the current prices of Cyberpunk are $29.99 on quite a lot of retailers. This would include Best Buy, which initiated the drop in pricing due to a daily deal at the current price. Since then, the game is available on Amazon as well for the same price.

The retail version for PC is a GOG code along with some Cyberpunk-themed physical items is available for a 33% discount on Amazon. This makes the retail price of the PC version to $39.99. However, in other countries such as the UK, the discounts are much less substantial compared to the US.

What caused the low prices?

Regardless of how big a fan you are of CD Projekt Red’s previous works, there is no denying that the demand for Cyberpunk 2077 has waned. The decreased demand is the biggest cause behind these lighting deals as retailers want to start getting their washed off of the game.

This is especially the case for PS4 and Xbox One because it’s a miracle if you can get more than 40 FPS in any area of the game except the loading screens. Maybe the game will bounce back in the upcoming DLC but we will have to wait and watch.
