After MI broke the 3-match winning streak of Delhi Capitals a few days back, DC came back strongly to grab a win against KXIP. They would now want to continue that form into this crucial match against the Royals which could take Shreyas Iyer’s men up to 14 points.
Dhawan and Iyer have been pretty consistent off late and Delhi would like to ride on their form into the playoffs. Rabada and Lamichhane have also been brilliant with the ball along with the others in the bowling attack.

Top-order
While Shikhar Dhawan is enjoying some good form in the last few games, his opening partner’s form has been dipping as the tournament goes on. Prithvi Shaw would need to get back his lost form and start contributing at the top to further power the Delhi batting.
Shreyas Iyer has been excellent at No. 3 and the skipper has undoubtedly led from the front. He has been dependable and exciting to watch. Iyer would continue being a crucial cog in the top order.
Middle-order
Rishabh Pant has been very inconsistent in this IPL and has not done much to impress apart from the first match. He needs to get back to scoring some crucial runs in the middle order and contributing to the Capitals score much more.
Colin Ingram has been steady and looks to be a very stylish player. He will maintain his spot in the middle order. Ingram will be followed by Chris Morris and Axar Patel who need to play the finishers’ role and stabilize the middle-order in case of a collapse.
Bowlers
Spinners will play a significant role on this slow track. The spin trio of Amit Mishra, Sandeep Lamichhane and Axar Patel would be expected to deliver here and pick up some important wickets from time to time. They would play a major role.
Kagiso Rabada, the Purple Cap holder, will continue his astounding bowling especially at the death along with Morris. Ishant Sharma is expected to strike upfront in the powerplay overs.
