India’s star players Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik are currently in England to feature in India’s limited-overs leg against England. The Indian team won their two T20Is against Ireland, before winning the opening T20I of the 3-game series against England.

Both Rohit and Karthik did not have great start to the English tour, however, their departure for the tour was an interesting one.

In a chat show called ‘Breakfast With Champions’, hosted by Gaurav Kapur, Dinesh Karthik explained how opener Rohit Sharma almost missed his flight on his way to England. The dashing Mumbaikar was also present during the show.

“We all assembled in Delhi and were supposed to leave for UK. Our man (Rohit) came chilled, having forgotten his passport back in Mumbai. It got delivered to him just in time, else he would’ve been left behind,” Karthik revealed.

On the other hand, the 33-year-old also confessed that he is not pure of such silly mistakes. He also chatted about his unaware nature, especially when he is on phone.

“That’s one of the things I want to change about myself. Supposed you’re talking to me, I’ll just get lost and that sometimes comes across as rude. A lot of times I switch on my phone to do something, but by the time it opens I forget what I wanted to do,” Karthik continued.

Rohit Sharma also defended himself from the hilarious remarks, with the opener claiming that his teammates make unnecessary stories to have fun. “Everyone forgets their passport but these guys just make stories about me,” Rohit spoke.

On the other hand, Karthik also spoke about his friendship with the 31-year-old, and how he loves to spend time with him.

India will face England in the 2nd of the 3-match T20I series at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.
