Dota 2 is an extremely versatile game, and if you pick the wrong heroes into counters, you will get outplayed. In this article, we are going to bring out the 5 best late game carries to help you increase MMR. Many of the professional Dota 2 players are also playing these heroes in the ongoing Dota Pro Circuit, and it has worked out very well.

If your games are getting too long, and you are not able win fast, this is your ultimate guide. However, no hero is completely invincible. There are counters for every hero in Dota 2, but if you play your hero right, it shouldn’t matter. So, let’s just jump straight into the list of the best late game carries in the current Dota 2 scene.

Top 5 Carries in Dota 2 right now

1. Wraith King

Wraith King is probably the most powerful late game carry in the game. He is a strength hero, which makes him naturally hard to kill. The latest update, which reworked Wraith King’s abilities have made him ideal to gain MMR with. He has an inbuilt aegis with his ultimate ability: Reincarnation.

It is easy to set up fights with a Wraith King who has a Blink Dagger. His reincarnation also slows enemies around him, making it the ideal time to counter-initiate on enemies as well.

2. Monkey King

Monkey King is extremely useful if you have a high-mobility based team. Purchasing a battlefury on Monkey King is completely useless, as it only slows down the pace of his game. He should be played as a roaming ganking hero. You can go for a desolator, if you are against squishy enemies, making it easier to burst them with your Boundless Strike.

The other popular build is going for an Aghanim’s Scepter into a Black King Bar & Eye of Skadi. This build makes you tank damage and even live through your Wukong Command.

3. Weaver

Despite being squishy, Weaver can pack a punch when it comes to dealing damage. He is highly mobile & can escape from the toughest situations. You also have a time lapse, which helps you to get back to safety. You can deal a heavy dose of damage very quickly and just time lapse, if you see that the enemies are responding.

4. Faceless Void

This hero has the perfect set of skills to match a Wraith King in terms of carry. He has an inbuilt initiation with Time Walk. Time Dilatation, his second skill is useful to chase down and slow fleeing enemies. His time-lock allows you to stay on top of enemies by bashing them. Just build attack speed on Faceless Void & your enemies will get perma-bashed.

On top of all of this, his ultimate, Chronosphere, is one of the best Ultimate Skills in the game. You can even go for the extra Chronosphere AOE if you want to trap more enemies.

5. Riki

Riki is probably one of the most popular & lethal carries in the current patch. He has the ability to easily get on top of enemy cores & shut them down. Although he is initially a bit squishy, he excels at killing heroes like Weaver & Mirana, who have inbuilt escapes. He has very good damage and stats, making him easy to lane with as well.

So, next time you don’t know which hero to pick to carry a game that looks tough, pick one of these heroes, and see how easily you will be able to stomp your enemies in the game.
