Eden Hazard Transfer News: Florentino Perez drops bombshell to Chelsea fans by making a huge Hazard claim

Florentino Perez has dropped a huge bombshell which will not serene the Chelsea supporters.

Real Madrid’s interest in Eden Hazard is not a secret to the rest of the world. The Belgian International has been on the Los Blancos’ radar for a while, as confirmed by the president Florentino Perez.

Perez claimed that his first choice was Eden Hazard once Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid, but Maurizio Sarri was able to hold him for a year. The 29-year-old has a price tag of £130 million, but Real Madrid are refusing to pay more than £88 million. With just a year in his contract, the Spanish side are hoping to take that as an advantage and conclude the deal as soon as possible.

Asked about Real’s interest in the winger on Spanish radio station Onda Cero, Perez explained: “We have been trying to make Hazard a Real Madrid player for several years.

“We are working on a project to make people dream again, where we recover our hunger and ambition. I have already lived through this stage before.

‘I have a dream that Hazard will arrive this year. Let’s make a good team this year. I am very interested in him coming to Real Madrid and I am very hopeful that he will come this year. He’s one of the great footballers.

“Last year we wanted him, but this year he only has one year left on his contract and it is easier.”

Eden Hazard enjoyed one his best ever seasons with Chelsea by scoring 16 and laying on 15 assists in the Premier League this season. He is most likely to make his final appearance against Arsenal in the Europa League final at Baku on Wednesday.
