ENG vs AUS Dream11 Prediction: England vs Australia 1st ODI – 11 September 2020 (Manchester)

Hosts England will take on Australia in the 1st ODI match of the 3 matches ODI series. This promises to be the best cricket series after the Covid-19 break where two heavyweights of white-ball cricket will be up against each other.

England defeated the Aussies in the T20 series and they would want to do the same in the ODI series as well. The arrival of Chris Woakes and Joe Root will definitely boost the confidence of the hosts and will certainly increase the morale of the side. England are the champions of this format and would certainly like to prove their domination against the Aussies who are certainly looking rusty till now.

Australia won the last game of the T20I series and that can certainly serve as a morale booster for the side. The middle-order of Australia looks way more solid in the ODI format. Steve Smith at number 3 and Marnus Labuschagne at number 4 will definitely be really good for the Aussie side who certainly would want to take their revenge in this series.

This would be a really close game on paper but the English players are definitely looking more confident due to the playing time they have got.

ENG vs AUS Dream11 Wicket-Keepers

Jonny Bairstow will be our wicket-keeper in this game. Bairstow found his lost form in the last T20I against Australia and his ODI numbers are absolutely top-notch. He has scored 3011 ODI runs at an outstanding average of 46.32. Jonny will open the innings for his side and will be picked.

[Buttler is in a brilliant form but he will bat at the number 5 position in the ODIs, that’s why Bairstow should be preferred]

ENG vs AUS Dream11 Batsmen

Joe Root and Eoin Morgan will be our batsmen from England. Root is back in the white-ball format and he was brilliant in the ongoing T20 blast for Yorkshire with both bat and the ball. Joe’s batting average is 51.05 in the ODI format which speaks a lot about his career whereas Morgan’s ODI numbers are also brilliant as he has scored 7510 ODI runs at an average of 39.53. Both Root and Morgan are ODI veterans and will be ideal picks.

Aaron Finch, Steve Smith, and Marnus Labuschagne will be our batsmen from Australia. Finch was the best batsman of the Australian side in the T20 series and his ODI numbers are brilliant as well. He has scored 4882 ODI runs at an average of 41.03 whereas Smith is also a reliable ODI player and has scored at an average of 42.27 in this format, he will be a genuine threat at the number 3 position. Marnus will also be back in the ODI format and his stats in this format are brilliant too as he has scored 305 runs in 6 innings at an average of 50.83 which includes one century. This trio should definitely be picked for this game.

ENG vs AUS Dream11 All-Rounders

Chris Woakes will be our all-rounder from England. Woakes is a match-winner and is a genuine wicket-taker in the white-ball format as well. He will bowl in the powerplay overs and will carry the responsibility to take the wickets of the Aussie top-order. Woakes has picked 143 wickets in 100 ODI games and his batting average is also above 25 in this format. He is a genuine wicket-taker and will be picked for this game.

Glenn Maxwell will be our all-rounder from Australia. Maxi flopped in the T20 series but he will be feeling a lot more confident now after playing 3 games straight. He has scored 2877 ODI runs at an average of 32.33 whereas he has picked 50 wickets in his bowling as well. Maxwell is a match-winner on his own and should be picked.

ENG vs AUS Dream11 Bowlers

From England, Jofra Archer will make it into our team. Archer proved how lethal he is with the white-ball in the T20 series and he would like to do the same in the ODI series as well. He has picked 23 wickets in 14 ODI games and his economy has been just 4.63. Jofra will lead the bowling attack of the side.

From Australia, Mitchell Starc and Adam Zampa would make their way into our team. Starc was not at his best in the T20 series this won’t change the fact that he is one of the most lethal white-ball bowlers and his ODI stats are impressive as well. He has picked 178 wickets in just 91 ODI games whereas Zampa is also a brilliant bowler in the middle-overs and is a wicket-taker as well. He has picked 75 ODI wickets in 55 games so far. Both of them are really good bowlers and will be picked.

Captain and Vice-Captain

The duo of Steve Smith and Joe Root will be our captain and vice-captain in this game respectively.
