It was always going to be a tactical game between Germany and Italy and thus, it was only logical that a penalty shootout would be imperative to decide the fate of this clash. But who would have thought that the penalty shootout would turn out to be so comical, with almost all big names missing their spot kicks.
But ultimately it was the traditionally superior penalty shootout performers Germany who held their nerve to oust Italy out of the Euro Championship.

The first substitution that I make for this game is bringing in Bacary Sagna for Meunier. Belgium’s shock loss to Wales meant that Meunier could only muster 1 point and hence needs to be transferred out.
Sagna would be facing a rather mediocre and inexperienced Iceland strike force and should be able to get a clean sheet.
The second player I get in is Dmitri Payet. Payet has been the lynchpin of the French midfield, scoring and assisting in almost all of France’s games. Against an inexperienced Iceland side Payet should be able to provide assists and score goals.I get him for Julian Draxler who didn’t start last night
The third substitution is bringing in the Ateltico De Madrid star Antoine Griezmann. Griezmann has been amongst the goals in this Euro Championship and with Pogba and Payet providing the services, Griezmann should get a host of opportunities to slot the ball in the back of the net.

Julian Draxler did not start for Germany last night and even after coming on he didn’t do much to cause any flutter in the game.
I’ll be keeping Griezmann as my captain for today’s game as I can see him scoring at least one goal tonight and quite possible scoring a brace. His pace and directness should prove to be a menace for the Iceland defence and you can expect him to give you at least 15-16 points as captain tonight.
