What to expect from the 2023 Azerbaijan GP?

After 3 races of the 2023 season, the reigning champion Verstappen is once again the favorite among fans to win the championship title and register himself as a 3-time world champion. But there is a chance that this weekend would turn out a little bit more difficult for the Dutch driver.

Verstappen has won the race on the Baku City Circuit twice but he has failed to finish the race in Baku on 3 occasions. It seems as though, Baku does not favor Verstappen’s driving style too much.

On top of that, the upcoming weekend will feature a sprint weekend. This means that the possibility of damage to the car will be increased throughout the weekend.

Currently, Verstappen is leading the championship standings with 65 points in his bag, with his teammate Sergio Perez trailing him in P2 with 54 points. Moreover, a second favorite to gain the lead in the 2023 championship season is Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso who currently stands P3 with 45 points to his name.
