"A Depression Song" - Charles Leclerc Open to Collaborate With Lewis Hamilton

Charles Leclerc has revealed that he is open to collaborating with Lewis Hamilton to produce music. However, since he believes that most of his songs are ‘depressing,’ he was not sure whether the Briton would be open to collaborating on such a genre.

Leclerc was asked about such a potential collaboration a few days after he released his first music single, ‘AUS23 1:1.‘ Leclerc said (as quoted by Tami), “It will be cool because I think Lewis is singing. I don’t know what type of song he’s singing. If he’s happy to sing in a depression song…then I might be the one he goes to”.

Charles Leclerc says most of his songs are not happy ones

After saying that he would be open to collaborating with Hamilton, Leclerc explained how his songs are perhaps ‘not the happiest ones’. He added that if he did collaborate with the Briton, then what they would produce would be ‘very funny’ for the fans to see.

On reading Leclerc’s reply about primarily producing depressing songs, several fans such as Clara expressed their shock.

Meanwhile, some others such as Luke expressed concern for Leclerc by requesting someone to help the 25-year-old.

And then there were also some fans such as Benjamin that blamed Ferrari for Leclerc’s current mood.

Leclerc and Hamilton have had a ‘depressing’ start to their 2023 campaigns

After an outstanding season last year with Ferrari in which he finished second in the championship, Leclerc’s 2023 campaign in stark contrast has begun in a ‘depressing’ fashion. The Monegasque currently is tenth in the championship with just six points alongside the Haas of Nico Hulkenberg.

The 25-year-old is 14 points behind his Ferrari teammate Carlos Sainz and already a whopping 63 points behind championship leader Max Verstappen. While Leclerc has made it no secret that his aim is to win the world championship, it seems that Ferrari has a lot to do before they can help the Monegasque get there.

On the other hand, even though Hamilton has had a significantly better season so far than Leclerc, it arguably still does not meet his expectations. The Briton has so far had two fifth-place finishes and an outstanding second-place finish in Australia at the beginning of this month.

Consequently of these results, he has scored 38 points and is currently fourth in the championship. He is seven points behind third-placed Fernando Alonso and 31 points behind Verstappen. Considering that both Leclerc and Hamilton have had below-par starts, they would hope for a stronger performance at this weekend’s Azerbaijan GP.
