Charles Leclerc is arguably the least lucky driver on the current F1 grid because of how rarely things have gone his way. While there are occasions when he has not achieved the desired result because of his fault, his Ferrari team has often let him down. And a similar incident seemed to have occurred recently when the 25-year-old lost a challenge despite considering it “super easy.”
This moment occurred when Leclerc faced a challenge given by Carlos Sainz and his teammate Tommy. During this challenge, the Monegasque had to draw a picture, requiring his teammate, Matt, to guess it. However, despite him considering this task easy, it all went wrong for Leclerc as Matt could not guess the picture.
Charles Leclerc left in disbelief as he loses “easy” challenge
As seen in the video below, it begins with Charles Leclerc telling Matt that the challenge presented to them by Carlos Sainz and Tommy is “easy.” The Monegasque is so confident that Matt should be able to guess the answer that he barely even takes any effort while drawing the image.

It is only when Matt has a laugh and seems clueless about seeing the image is when Leclerc begins to make more effort. As the 25-year-old went on to draw the image, Matt attempted all sorts of answers but failed to guess the right even once.
Eventually, as Leclerc got tired of Matt’s failed answers, he seemingly also cheated by attempting to whisper what picture he was drawing. However, that did not work, much to the Monegasque’s disappointment.
With Leclerc eventually failing the challenge, he screamed to Matt that he was attempting to draw a “grid box.” While Leclerc once again seemingly felt that his teammate had let him down, on this occasion, it was all fun and games, unlike some of Ferrari’s mistakes recently.
Ferrari has cost Leclerc severely on several occasions
Ferrari has cost Charles Leclerc massively this season alone on multiple occasions. The first major incident when the Prancing Horse cost the Monegasque this year was at his home Grand Prix.
Because of a miscommunication on the team’s part, the FIA handed Leclerc a three-place grid penalty for impeding McLaren’s Lando Norris. And just a month after this incident, Ferrari cost Leclerc again in a similar fashion.

At the Austrian Grand Prix at the beginning of this month, a miscommunication from Ferrari resulted in Leclerc impeding McLaren’s Oscar Piastri. As a result, the FIA once again handed him a three-place grid penalty despite there being no fault of his own.
And because of multiple incidents such as these in quick succession, the frustration is just growing inside Leclerc and the rest of the Ferrari camp. Because of all of this, it will be interesting to see if the 25-year-old remains with the team at the end of this season or if he chooses to leave for a rival to accomplish his dream of winning a championship.
