Carlos Sainz has recently revealed his career plan amid a massive rumor that sees him going to Audi. The Spaniard denied all the rumors and said he saw himself with Ferrari for many more years to come.
As per Marca, the 28-year-old said, “My intention is to stay at Ferrari for many years.” He also emphasized that he is very comfortable with the Maranello-based team. The Ferrari star concluded that staying in the team is his objective for now and is living his dream at the moment.

The former Toro Rosso driver joined the Italian team from McLaren in 2021. The 2023 F1 season is his third season alongside Charles Leclerc, and he seems to be enjoying his stay here.
The rumor flooded the internet after Blick, a Swiss publication, linked the Spanish driver’s move to Audi. This was in line with Audi CEO Adam Baker’s dream team combination with Sainz and Fernando Alonso.
Sainz revealed the surprising part of the rumor
The Spanish driver revealed his astonishment when he heard about his links to the German giants. Audi is slated to enter F1 in 2026 after they finalized their entry with Sauber some time back.
Sainz said that it’s surprising for him to hear things about 2026 when he doesn’t even have a contract for 2025. Admittedly, the Ferrari driver’s contract expires with the team at the end of the 2024 season.

The former McLaren star told Marca that it “surprises” him to see people “invent” things so much. At times he finds them funny, but other than that, they annoy the Prancing Horse ace.
Sainz wants Ferrari’s improvement
After the dismal start to their 2023 F1 season, Sainz has called in for massive improvement. Speaking at the conference organized by Estrella Galicia, Ferrari’s partner, Sainz, said that they needed to pull up their socks.
The star driver asked everyone back at the factory to start working harder than ever if they wanted to return to winning ways. He said this after being surprised by the recent improvements Red Bull and Aston Martin made.
Scuderia Ferrari failed to pick up any podium so far in the 2023 F1 season. Their best finish was P4 in Bahrain. Regarding the driver’s championship, Sainz stands in P5, whereas his teammate is in P10. In the constructors’ championship, Ferrari is in P4, 99 points behind leaders Red Bull.
