Brad Pitt Brings Hollywood Into the F1 Drivers’ Meeting Ahead of the British GP in Silverstone

Brad Pitt and Lewis Hamilton are co-producing a movie that also stars the former, playing the role of an F1 driver. For the same, production begins this weekend in Silverstone, which is also coinciding with the British GP. Pitt wants realism to be a major component, which is why he wanted to include filming alongside actual F1 cars and drivers. Interestingly enough, he is also rumored to be taking part in the pre-race drivers’ briefing, alongside all the F1 drivers.

Pitt’s upcoming movie which will also be produced by Lewis Hamilton, is about Formula 1, which has the entire community excited. Pitt plays the role of a star who will be a mentor to a young up-and-coming talent, and for that, he will drive a F2 car modified to look like an F1 car, this weekend.

Before every race, the drivers take part in a briefing that involves the race officials, to address doubts and ask questions related to anything about the particular race weekend. This could include track conditions, limits, or even questions related to technical regulations. This meeting in Silverstone, however, will likely have some Hollywood glamour added to it.

Will Brad Pitt actually take part in the Drivers’ Meeting?

Ahead of the drivers’ briefing in Silverstone, fans started speculating whether Pitt will be a part of the pre-race drivers’ briefing. Rumors about the same started getting circulated all over social media, although nothing official from F1 or Pitt has been declared until now.

F1 photographer Kym Illman took to his Instagram account to share his account of his time in Silverstone at the moment. He stated that he was heading for the Drivers’ Briefing, and rumors in the paddock pointed towards Pitt being in attendance there.

The reports, however, seem to be true, because Alpine driver Pierre Gasly gave fans a major hint about Pitt being a part of the show. He posted a picture on his Instagram account of himself with Pitt, Hamilton, and Charles Leclerc. It isn’t clear whether this picture was taken ahead of the briefing or not, but it does suggest that the Hollywood star is involved in something out of the ordinary.

Considering the fact that Pitt is also rumored to be leading the formation lap ahead of the British GP race this weekend, his being a part of the drivers’ briefing seems like a small thing.

Pitt’s ambitious drive around Silverstone with real F1 drivers

One of the biggest talking points about this week’s British GP has been Pitt’s scheduled drive around the Silverstone circuit. Contrary to earlier rumors, he will not be driving a real F1 car but will be in control of a modified F2 car, designed to emulate the challengers at the highest level.

Some reports, however, claimed that Brad Pitt will lead the formation lap, just to get some realistic filming shots in, before the start of the Grand Prix. As expected, fans reacted hilariously to this bizarre news and wondered what could possibly go wrong with a Hollywood actor sharing the racing track with 20 of the world’s best drivers.
