Charles Leclerc Has a Sad Reason for Not Releasing a New Song After Monaco GP

Charles Leclerc is not only one of the most talented drivers on the current grid but has also showcased his star-studded qualities in producing some high-quality music. The Monegasque has so far released two singles: AUS23 and MIA23.

Leclerc has named both his singles to indicate the time at which he released them. AUS23 indicates that the 25-year-old released this single following the Australian Grand Prix. And similarly, MIA23 indicates that he released this single following the Miami GP.

Since Leclerc’s music has been such a hit, his fans have been eager to hear new singles of his. However, the Monegasque did not release any music following his home Grand Prix last weekend. And he had a sad reason for not doing so.

Leclerc had made a deal that he would have released a new single had he won his home race. However, to his massive disappointment, he only managed to finish sixth. It was a frustrating weekend for Leclerc as during the same Grand Prix, he had also suffered a three-place grid penalty.

Leclerc did not release any music after a disappointing Monaco GP

While speaking in a short interaction with an interviewer ahead of the Monaco GP (as quoted by leclercdata), Charles Leclerc made a deal. The interviewer told him that if he won the Monaco GP, then he would release a new song.

While the Monegasque reluctantly agreed to the deal, he explained his hesitation. With a heavy breath, Leclerc replied, “I have not started any song. Sunday night I will have to invent something“. When the interviewer said that it is fine, the 25-year-old reluctantly replied, “Deal”.

Because of the way Leclerc hesitated with his reply, several fans stated that he ‘jinxed‘ his own race.

Meanwhile, many other fans such as Amelia also noted how stressed Leclerc felt while accepting the bet.

And then there were some other fans who requested the Monegasque to release his new single anyways, stating that they need it.

Charles Leclerc is keen on collaborating with Lewis Hamilton for a song

Ever since Charles Leclerc became famous in the F1 paddock for his music production, the Monegasque has often pointed out how keen he is to collaborate with Lewis Hamilton for a song. Leclerc has stated that it would be ‘cool’ if the two can work together, where he plays the piano and Hamilton sings.

However, Leclerc did state that for such a collaboration to work, Hamilton would need to be interested in ‘depressing‘ music as this is the kind of music that interests him.

While speaking in an interview (as quoted by Tami), Leclerc said, “I don’t know what type of song he’s singing; if he’s happy to sing in a depression song…then I might be the one he goes to“.

Since Leclerc’s debut single, AUS23, also ranked in the top 10 of iTunes’ newly released music, fans have been excited ever since to know what more the Monegasque will produce.
