F1 Drivers’ Driver of the Year: Lando Norris with a ‘sad’ yet hilarious reaction after missing out on Top 10 of the exclusive drivers’ poll of their peers of the recently-concluded 2020 season.
The Formula 1 website released a list of the Top 10 drivers of this season, chosen by them themselves. It had some expected names and some glaring misses in equal measure. The biggest miss has to be Lando Norris, who was impressive on and off the racing track.
But Norris being the super cool guy decided to let his feelings known in a ‘sad’ yet hilarious way. When the list was released in an Instagram post, Lando Norris commented this:

The ‘front-row’ was locked out by Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, the Mercedes and Red Bull drivers expected to have a titanic battle for the title before the former calls it a day in the sport. Renault’s Daniel Ricciardo was fourth, who has now switched to McLaren for the 2021 season.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc was P4, deservingly so after outperforming the shockingly average Ferrari engine this season. Frenchman Pierre Gasly completed the Top 5, after notching up his maiden F1 win this season.
George Russell made it to the 6th position, despite being at the bottom half in the Drivers Standings. He performed brilliantly for Williams during qualifying Saturdays and proved his talent in the Mercedes for a one-off opportunity at Sakhir.
Sergio Perez was P8 in arguably his best season in F1 so far. He was shown the door by the Aston Martin team for next season, but Red Bull has snapped him up to replace Alex Albon, who has been voted 10th post, ahead of impressive performers like Norris, Lance Stroll, and Kimi Raikkonen.
Romain Grosjean is P9, the Frenchman surviving a horror fireball crash at Bahrain, as he called it quits to the sport. Carlos Sainz, now with his dream team Ferrari, was ranked P9 for his impressive performances with McLaren.
