F1 Fans Mock Elon Musk for Not So Original Idea to Christian Horner

Some high-profile guests such as Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and Tesla CEO Elon Musk visited the Miami Grand Prix qualifying on Saturday. During his visit, Musk suggested Red Bull team principal Christian Horner an idea that fans mocked for its lack of originality.

After ESPN put up a Tweet that stated that both Bezos and Musk are at the Miami GP, the Tesla CEO replied by stating, “Fun discussion of aero & battery technology in F1. I proposed a pure EV vs gas/hybrid F1 race“. F1 fans were unhappy with Musk’s unoriginal idea as they pointed out that Formula E already exists.

Elon Musk’s Formula knowledge questioned by Fans

A fan named Lisabeth asked Elon Musk if he was aware that a Formula E race in Berlin took place just three weeks ago.

On the same lines, a fan named Arian pointed out that Formula E already exists.

And then there were also some fans such as Brett who also went on to question the interest people have in Formula E.

F1 witnesses a battle of billionaires with Musk & Bezos supporting rival teams

Billionaires Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos made their allegiances clear during the Miami GP qualifying on Saturday as the Tesla CEO visited the Red Bull garage. Meanwhile, Amazon CEO Bezos visited McLaren’s garage. Both CEOs were probably disappointed with their favorite teams as both Red Bull and McLaren had struggles of their own.

While Red Bull’s Sergio Perez clinched an outstanding pole position, his double world champion teammate Max Verstappen only managed to qualify ninth. As for McLaren, it was a disastrous qualifying session as Lando Norris only managed to qualify 16th, while Oscar Piastri qualified 19th.
