F1 qualifying results: Mercedes dominates Russian Grand Prix qualifying with Max Verstappen taking the top spot.
Mercedes take up the spot in Russian Grand Prix qualifying with Lewis Hamilton grabbing the P1 in the qualifying round of the Russian Grand Prix.
This season saw yet another red flag with Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel crashing in Q2. Making another stoppage in the event.
Meanwhile, his teammate Charles Leclerc was just inches away from facing the same fate, but escaped. However, he also got elim,inated in Q2, as he had to settle with P11.

On the other hand, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen saw improvement in his car from Friday, with him ending up at the P2 to start from the first town on Sunday.
The first round of the qualifiers didn’t see any upset wit the usuals getting to the exit door. Though in previous seasons, one would have been surprised with Ferrari getting the exit in Q2, now it’s a norm in the current predicaments of the Italian outfit.
