F1 Twitter Sympathises with Dejected Robert Lewandowski After Woeful Charles Leclerc Q1 Exit

Charles Leclerc broke the hearts of millions after his Q1 exit in the 2023 Spanish GP qualifying. The Ferrari driver qualified for the P19 start for a race where he secured the pole position last year.

During Saturday’s qualifying session, FC Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski was in the Ferrari garage. And in a surprising turn of events, The Polish International’s eyes seemed to tear up after the 5-GP winner was declared out of qualifying.

Frustrated Ferrari fans have had little to celebrate since the 2023 season began. However, Lewandowski’s reaction has connected with several Tifosi reeling with the shock.

Robert Lewandowski reacts on another painful weekend for Ferrari fans

Charles Leclerc was optimistic about Ferrari’s plans for the race after the team introduced new upgrades to improve the car’s pace. However, it has become another horror weekend for the Scuderia’s loyal fanbase.

While Carlos Sainz escaped the drop zone, Leclerc struggled with an undrivable car. The camera then cut to the Ferrari garage, focusing on Robert Lewandowski’s dejected expression. This led many to claim the footballer, too, was a Ferrari supporter.

A Twitter user ‘itsnotlily’ posted the picture of the footballer with the caption, “Man looks like he cried; he’s a Ferrari fan.” Another user, ‘oIdnewera,’ understood the Pole’s pain with the caption reading, “Me too.”

A user ‘FanaticsFerrariposted, “Robert Lewandowski’s reaction to Charles Leclerc’s elimination in Q1 was all of us.” Another fan ‘schumacheryl’ posted, “Lewa and Medvedev crying for Charles, I know who my guys are.”

Everyone wants to see Leclerc succeed in red and realize his dream of winning races and titles with Ferrari. After all, everyone is a Ferrari fan, but how long will the racer’s woeful spell continue remains unclear.

Charles Leclerc is to start from the pitlane for Spanish GP

Charles Leclerc complained that his car was “undrivable” during the qualifying session. The driver claimed he was unable to steer properly. Ferrari carried out an investigation into Leclerc’s car after the sessions.

The Scuderia have decided to change the rear end of his SF-23. Leclerc’s gearbox has been sent to Maranello for further analysis. This means the driver will start Sunday’s Spanish GP from the pitlane.

After yesterday’s qualifying, Leclerc said, “I don’t know the answer. The only thing I can say is that the left-hand corners were undrivable, and with the right-hand corners, the feeling was very similar to this morning.”

He added, “There’s just something off in the left-hand corners that we need to analyze and understand because it was very far off what I expected.” During the same session, Leclerc almost hit the barriers after losing control of his car.

His teammate Carlos Sainz, who qualified for P2, blamed the car for his disastrous exit. Ferrari has not revealed the exact issue in Leclerc’s car.
