Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto complains about lack of not utilizing potential of tyres

Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto complains about his team not using the tyres up to the potential as his side registers horrendous results.

Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto would be devasted with his both drivers facing elimination in Q2, and probably have no chance in finishing in the podium on Sunday.

Binotto has finally spoken about his team’s poor performances in qualifying while talking to Sky Sports and reflects that his unit is not utilizing the resources to its fullest.

“The problem is related to this weekend. We weren’t able to figure out how to make the tires work. Basically this is the same car from the last races as it is that of our rivals, so all cars equal there is something to we did not work, because we are further behind than we should be.”  he said.

“Then we made a choice of higher downforce also thinking about tomorrow’s race which could be wet trying to do something different than our rivals, even sacrificing a little qualifying.”

“We saw it in the straights, in the first and third sectors. I’m sorry for the fans, but we have to try to understand what happened. Starting yesterday. Yesterday’s situation compromised today’s performance.” he further said.

Mattia Binotto got message for Ferrari fans

Ever since Ferrari has been giving poor results, the fans of the Italian racing team have shown their qualms towards it. However, Binotto tells them to have patience.

“Now we need patience because we look to the future and we are building for the future. We are focused on 2021 and above all on 2022 trying to do well this season as well. he said.

“We have to do better. We have a minimum goal that we certainly know. Races like today are not. They help. We will try to do well in our Italian races.”

“Here so far it has not gone well, but in the end the race is tomorrow and that is where the points will be distributed. Let’s not give up an inch and concentrate on tomorrow .”
