Ferrari Star Charles Leclerc Once Got Chased By A Monkey While Visiting A Zoo

Charles Leclerc is one of the most popular drivers in F1 today. He is also one of the most talented, having become a star on the track since making his debut in 2018. His first year was spent with Sauber after which he earned his dream move to Ferrari.

Despite not winning a Championship with the Scuderia till now, he’s regarded as one of F1’s best and a world champion in the waiting. However, it seems that even potential Formula 1 world champions can’t keep themselves calm when a monkey is chasing them around!

A video shared on social media shows the Monegasque driver visiting a zoo. There, he comes across a monkey who plenty of other bystanders are watching and observing. As soon as Leclerc gets close, the monkey began to chase him, and the Ferrari star lost his cool. He started running with the monkey at his ‘tail’.

Charles Leclerc was once banned from entering Ferrari’s factory

Leclerc is one of the most famous F1 drivers and a Ferrari poster boy today. However, there was a time when the 24-year-old was not allowed in the team’s factory. In a video shot for Shell, Leclerc recalled the day when he first came to the team’s headquarters.

He revealed that he was just 12 years old back then, so he wasn’t allowed to get a full experience by visiting the part of the factory where the cars are made. However, instead of his demotivating him, it made him want to work harder to become a driver for Ferrari in the future, a dream he has since fulfilled.

“The very first time I came here, I was not allowed to enter Scuderia Ferrari’s factory,” he said. “Because I was maybe 12 years old. “From that moment, and even before that, I always wanted to be a Ferrari driver. Coming inside those doors and not being able to see everything that was inside, I think that gave me even more motivation to work as hard as ever to be able to get here one day.”

Leclerc looking to bounce back with Title win in 2023

The 2022 season started very positively for Leclerc. He won two out of the opening three races, which gave him and the Tifosi believe that it was going to be their year. Unfortunately, strategy errors made by the team and reliability concerns hindered his performance throughout the remainder of the season.

In the end, the World Champion went in Max Verstappen’s favor. The former Sauber driver, however, is looking to bounce back with Ferrari and aims to win the 2023 World Championship.
