"He's Getting Some Tonight": Lewis Hamilton Wins Big As Lucky Charm Shakira Breaks F1 Curse

Lewis Hamilton prayed for two things: a faster car and a Latina. God knows he got both at the Spanish GP. Returning to the F1 podium with a fighting chance for more in the future, Hamilton’s resurgence is being cheered on from all corners of the world. However, the people cheering are thanking one person for making this possible. Not James Allison, nor Toto Wolff, but the lucky Latina, Shakira.

Hamilton and the Hips Don’t Lie pop star have been getting cozy since the Miami GP weekend. Spotted together after the race, on a yacht, then flirting on the streets- things have been heating up between the two. Eagle-eyed fans even concluded that the duo had been out surfing together after they posted pictures of the same.

Now, Shakira, turning up for the Spanish GP, has only stroked the flames of this ongoing conspiracy. While this could be the next power couple of the F1 paddock, until things are confirmed, it doesn’t hurt to live in the fantasy of this fairytale love story.

Lewis Hamilton fans bow down to Shakira’s good luck

Fans were quick to associate Hamilton’s P2 podium with the presence of the Columbian beauty. Some fans might’ve gotten a bit too excited with the connection. As this fan imagined“LEWIS P2 AND SHAKIRA WAS WATCHING HE’S GETTING SOME TONIGHT.”

Some fans even wanted to test out the bizarre TikTok F1 WAG stories, as the coincidence of Hamilton jumping so far up the grid had to be romantic.

Others were just glad he found the Latina he was looking for. Hamilton really manifested his Spanish GP weekend through and through.

Sure enough, fans were grateful. Tweets screaming “Thank you Shakira” soon stormed the social media site.

Now, one can only pray she turns up at every race. Or maybe not. The Mercedes upgrades seem to work anyway…

Hamilton hits 193 as Mercedes finally show potential

As dreamy as it would be that Shakira pushed Lewis Hamilton across the line, one has to tip their hat to the guys at Mercedes. After what has been a painful season and a half, the Silver Arrows have finally cracked the code.

The Spanish GP was the true test of whether their upgrades worked. A double podium is a resounding answer to that question.

Hamilton was exhilarated after bagging his 193rd podium. “What a result for our team! We definitely didn’t expect to have the result we had today so, I just really want to take my hat off to my team.”

However, he remains realistic in his battle against the lightning-fast Max Verstappen-Red Bull combo. “I think [the RB19] is a little bit too quick at the moment, but we’re working on it, we’re working on it. One step at a time, if we can get close by the end of the year, that’d be awesome, but if not, next year.”

Things are finally looking up for the 7x champ, and boy does he deserve it. It has been a long time since we’ve seen the smile and the confidence on Hamilton’s face. Hopefully, it lasts.
