"I secretly expect something from Schumacher"- F1 expert on Mick schumacher

“I secretly expect something from Schumacher”- Formula 1 expert Tom Coronel predicts Mick Schumacher’s future in the sport.

Mick Schumacher is set to take on Formula 1 world as his Formula 2 triumph has instilled excitement around him. Tom Coronel has tipped him to be a successful driver.

The German driver has been hired by Haas, who has been under a rough patch from the last two seasons and are also expected not to make a significant improvement this year.

“They scored points last year, and they will do that this year. To be honest, I secretly expect something from Schumacher. Yes, he got there partly because of his last name. But he did become champion in Formula 3 and Formula 2.” he said.

”There are a few guys in Formula 1 who can’t repeat that. Of course, there was always money, but he had to do it himself. Nobody else drives that car.”

“Because of his performance, Schumacher earns a place in Formula 1, because of his name at Ferrari. Because that’s going to happen, of course. I think he will score some points this year.” (Translated via Google)

What’s in a name? The pressure to carry it

Mick is undoubtedly born with a silver spoon, and the pressure of his name at the same time is immense. Hence, he will have the pressure to perform as per the expectations.

Moreover, Ferrari also has expectations, who are intensively investing in him, and granted him a place in Haas. Mattia Binotto is already under the impression to bring him in Ferrari if he’s a successful prospect with Haas.

It remains to be seen what lies ahead for Schumacher in F1, as he is yet to race a single lap in a Grand Prix. Only a string of impressive performances with Haas will clarify whether he would further flourish his last name.
