Lewis Hamilton’s “Shocked” Brother Reveals “Lot of Negativity” Made Him Quit Social Media

In a new development, Nicolas Hamilton revealed that he left Twitter because of extreme negativity. The brother of Lewis Hamilton was recently subjected to hacking activities, which made him decide to deactivate his social media account.

Taking to his official Instagram account, Hamilton Jr. revealed that he found a video of him making a speech on his website. It was all fine, but the caption was a bit problematic, as it was based on his wheelchair.

The racing driver conveyed that the caption had him saying he was doing better than people still in wheelchairs. Denying the entire ordeal, the 31-year-old driver confirmed that he had “hacking issues” with his Twitter account.

Saying that he doesn’t remember posting that video or the comment, he was “shocked” at how the entire thing played out. Asserting this, Nicholas Hamilton said that he deactivated his Twitter account because it “looks bad” on him and there was “lot of negativity” surrounding it.

Hamilton Jr. is the first disabled person to taste an F1 simulator

The younger brother of the Mercedes star is the first disabled person to drive an F1 simulator. Hamilton Jr., who suffers from cerebral palsy, had an incredible experience thanks to his world-champion brother and Mercedes.

The Silver Arrows star explained all about it on his personal Instagram account. The Stevenage-born wrote that in early 2022 he asked his team if they could make it happen, and there they were, all prepared to give the younger Briton a taste of the high speed of F1.

The 38-year-old further shared that time in the simulator is very rare for someone like his father. To have the 31-year-old in the simulator set up, the team needed to have custom modifications of the seat, steering wheel, and brake pedal.

And as this was made possible, the Mercedes maestro shared a series of photos of his brother relishing the amazing day. Hamilton concluded by thanking his team, Mercedes AMG because without them, he said it wouldn’t have been possible.

Hamilton found solace in his brother amid tough F1 times

The Silver Arrows ace has recently visited his brother’s race in Donington. As Formula 1 was having a bit of a short break due to the canceled Chinese Grand Prix, the 38-year-old used this opportunity to go and support his brother.

Despite his physical disability, Nicolas Hamilton races in British Touring Car Championship. And in the last week of April, he claimed the best finish of his career when he crossed the finish line in sixth position.

Admittedly, the time hasn’t been going well for the seven-time world champion. As the former McLaren star found it tough to get going in the sport, he used the short break in between to recharge himself and return stronger.
