“I’m going to work my ass off”- Mick Schumacher on his F1 rookie season plans
“I’m going to work my ass off”- Mick Schumacher claims that he has settled well with Haas and is looking forward to a hardworking season.
Mick Schumacher has entered into Formula 1 this season after boasting his Formula 2 championship triumph in 2020. His debut season in the top-tier would be with Haas, where he has apparently settled well.
Amidst all of this, Schumacher feels that he would be working extremely hard this season, as his familial name obviously brought immense hype.
“I have already had numerous amount of meetings with my team, and I feel very, very comfortable. And I’m sure the team feels very comfortable with me so that we can start on an excellent basis and then go on to an even stronger bond through the season,” he said.
“I think in general my race craft is very good. The relationship that I have with a team is very positive, and I’m thrilled that I can build a relationship quickly with the team and then try to improve in every aspect.
“That’s really what I want to do, and I’m going to work my ass off for that, and I will give everything I have.”
We need to have a strong bond with Haas.
Schumacher feels that to have a great start with Haas, he needs to build a great bond with his team, and not to forget, keeping his mentality strong is also essential.
“You want to have a powerful bond with the team. That’s really what I aim for, and I have, and I’m pleased about that. So definitely, that’s one of the strengths.
“Being mentally as strong as we can be in every situation is also a significant one. Then basically just starting the season on a high, and hopefully, we’ll be able to carry through everything that I’ve learnt in my past years and be able to perform on a high level of what we need.”
