“Is He Serious?: Charles Leclerc Offended With Carlos Sainz’s False Media Narrative

Charles Leclerc was once offended by his teammate Carlos Sainz’s narrative on the media. As the Monegasque driver heard the false narrative shared by his Ferrari teammate from the reporters, he immediately took offense.

Leclerc and Sainz have really been doing well in Ferrari as teammates. After the Spanish driver joined the 25-year-old in 2021, the duo synced well both on and off the track, with no records of feuds between them.

Apart from having the same job at Maranello, the duo are often seen taking their chances at other sports together. Be it golf, soccer, or even a sponsored-based game, the duo has always tried to outshine one another.

While the Monegasque still holds an edge over the Spaniard on track, Sainz seems to try to give it back to Leclerc in every possible way. One such example was the 28-year-old’s false “chess” narration.

Charles Leclerc reveals the truth

When the former Sauber man approached the reporters for an interview, the first thing he heard was his loss to his teammate in ‘chess.’ This not only baffled him, but it seemed he took grave offense in this.

Upon hearing this, Leclerc asked, “Is he serious? He told you that?” Following the reporter’s clearance, the Monegasque revealed, “I won. I won more games than he did. But it was close.” [Translated to English.]

The incident is believed to be from post COVID-19 scenario as face masks can be seen in the video. And it is also believed it is from 2021, the duo’s first season as a teammate in Scuderia Ferrari.

Leclerc once gave a mic-drop reply after Sainz’s superiority statement

The 25-year-old once handed his teammate a savage reply when Sainz claimed to be superior to him. This happened recently when the Spanish driver claimed he’s better than the Monegasque in every sport.

As seen in the viral video, the former McLaren star was asked if he is better than the man from Monaco in every sport other than Golf and Chess. Answering this, Carlos Sainz said, “Golf, chess, tennis. Say any sport I am better.”

This was the moment Charles Leclerc decided to drop a bomb. Upon hearing his teammate is better than him in every sport, the 25-year-old quipped immediately, “Not racing.” After this, the Spaniard seemed to have no answer to the Monegasque’s response.
