“It goes without saying that Dan will be missed” – Red Bull head of aerodynamics to join Aston Martin
“It goes without saying that Dan will be missed” – Red Bull head of aerodynamics Dan Fallows will join rivals Aston Martin as their Technical Director, as part of the latter’s structural rejig.
The announcement of Dan Fallows’ appointment comes on the back of the decision taken by the Aston Martin hierarchy to structurally modify the F1 team’s management.
As part of this, Andrew Green has been promoted to the role of Chief Technical Officer. Alongside this, Luca Furbatto has joined as the new engineering director, from fellow team Alfa Romeo. Tom McCullough, currently the Performance Engineering Director has been given the new nomenclature of Performance Director.
Fallows joined Red Bull back in 2006, when the energy drinks brand was just finding its feet in the sport. He has been the chief of the aerodynamics division since 2014, coinciding with the beginning of the turbo-hybrid era in the sport.
Red Bull Racing’s head of aero Dan Fallows will become Aston Martin’s new Technical Director, once his contract with RBR is concluded. He’s been with Red Bull since 06 and played a hand in every victory and championship the team has scored. Big move from AMR.

Red Bull announces departure
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner announced his departure, thanking him for his services and recognizing the need for Fallows to accept such a prestigious position at Aston Martin.
“It goes without saying that Dan will be missed as he has played an important role during his time at Red Bull Racing and I would like to thank him for his contribution towards the team’s successes.
“We do however recognise that the chance to take on the role of technical director within a Formula 1 team is an appealing next step in his career. In turn, this move creates exciting internal progression opportunities as we look to the future and draw from the wealth of talent within the wider team.”
