Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet are publically in a relationship, and the Brazilian model is regularly seen supporting him in the paddock. Her regular appearances in F1 have been so highlighted that she was recently featured on Vogue Netherlands’ cover for the January edition.
The magazine apparently celebrates her for being a “woman in motorsports”. Though, this idea instantly got criticized by fans for her having no active role in F1 apart from being the partner of the world champion.
Nevertheless, Piquet has a long association with F1. Her father is a three-time world champion Nelson Piquet. She also previously dated former F1 driver Daniil Kvyat, with whom she has a child.

Kelly Piquet almost get hit by an F1 car
Now her association with Verstappen has only increased her appearances in F1. And in one of the instances, she almost got hit by an F1 car. She was standing in the way of Sebastian Vettel’s Aston Martin when at the last second, she got herself away from it.
However, it would have hardly harmed her as the Aston Martin crew only pushed the $14 million car to their garage. But in the video, it was also seen that she could have collided with one of the crew members at Aston Martin, and if not for any injury, some damage to the car could have happened.
In the video, it’s also seen she was with somebody who apparently was making the video. She said to that person that she was trusting them for her safety after she almost prevented herself from getting in Aston Martin’s way.
Speaks about her life with the world champion
Piquet and Verstappen since 2021, have been open about their relationship. So much so that the Dutchman is often seen with Piquet’s daughter and even babysits her.
It seems their relationship is going strong after her thoughts on Verstappen recently got released in one of the snippets from her Vogue interview.
She compares Verstappen with her father and claims that the two-time world champion is very much like her father. She even reveals that the two met first in 2016, and she felt there was a spark.
However, the two got into a relationship much later. For 2023, Piquet will likely make more appearances to support her partner, who is the favourite to recapture another world title.
