According to The Sun, the royal organizers were eager to have the group participate in the celebrations.
What changed? The pop band turned down the opportunity. Rumor has it, there is a general reluctance among performers to be associated with the scandal-scarred monarchy. As a result, Geri Halliwell and crew were a part of star-studded A-Listers to turn away from the coronation.
