Max Verstappen has considerable advantage over Lewis Hamilton ahead of Austrian GP
Max Verstappen holds a considerable advantage over Lewis Hamilton ahead of the Austrian GP which will be the first race of the season.
On Tuesday, Formula 1 released a list of Grand Pix set to be organized this year, as due to Coronavirus earlier scheduled races were cancelled to prevent the outbreak.
The revised calendar of Formula 1 gives Max Verstappen an advantage over his rival Lewis Hamilton for the Championship. If the season had started as usually then Hamilton was a hot favourite for the title once again.
But the recent development gives hope for the Dutch driver, who has been deemed to be the future Formula 1 champion. That is because the first two races in this newly tailored season will be organized in Austria.

Verstappen is one of only 7 drivers in F1’s history to win consecutive races at the Red Bull Ring, plus, its the home ground for his team, therefore he has a prospect of getting a good start in the season.
Two race wins will give him a huge momentum over the rest of the drivers. This is also interesting as Hamilton hasn’t stood on the podium in Austria in the last two years which would be a huge factor mentally.
The next race is in Hungary on the 19th of July. Max won a pole here last season and finished second in the race behind Hamilton but Mercedes could drop points considering this isnât Bottasâ strongest track. The Finn finished 8th last year and 5th the year before.

Also to consider that Hamilton usually makes a sluggish start in the season and since this season has been shortened to 8 races, we can’t predict how will Hamilton amend his strategy, but nonetheless a bright opportunity in the hands of Verstappen.
