Mick Schumacher was sacked by the Haas at the end of the 2022 season after he did not yield a very promising result in his 2nd year in F1.
He also became a victim of multiple crashes that cost the team a large sum of money. Earlier, it was reported that the German driver had caused $3.2 Million worth of damage in 2022.
However, as per a report published in BusinessF1, Schumacher had crossed about $5 Million in damages. He had completely written off two cars combined with plenty of other crashes.
In 2021, as well when Haas had an extremely underperforming car and Schumacher had Nikita Mazepin as a teammate, he cost the team $4.7 Million in damages.

Haas owner disappointed with Mick Schumacher
Formula 1 runs on money and millions of dollars worth of damages are especially extremely painful for smaller teams which do not have a lot of money to spare.
Speaking about letting Schumacher go, Haas boss Gene Haas said that being a rookie in this sport is just extraordinarily expensive.
He admitted that Schumacher has a lot of potential but he also costs a fortune. Drawing parallels with Max Verstappen, Haas further added that if you bring points, if you are Verstappen and you wreck cars, the team will deal with it but not otherwise.
The 2022 season has come to an end and with that a chapter as well. I want to take this moment to thank everyone at Haas F1 for all their hard work over the last two years.

The Spaniard cost the Scuderia an estimated $1.6 Million in damages in the 2022 season.
