One Direction Heartthrob Niall Horan Issues Two-Worded Challenge to His Fanboys Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris

Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris have their names etched as one of the most promising young drivers on the F1 grid. Championship material, and bursting with potential, they have been called to a challenge of a lifetime against former One Direction singer, Niall Horan.

Being at the top of your game in F1 is no easy task. Additionally, one could say Leclerc and Norris are having a rather stressful season as both drivers have been handed cars that don’t reflect their potential. So, blowing off some steam in their off-time comes in handy.

A common hobby shared by the two is golf. Most F1 drivers opt for the calming competition of the sport and choose to step out of their cars and into a golf cart whenever they can. Thus, looking at this opportunity for new competition and friends, the Irish pop star invited Leclerc and Norris to a challenge.

Sitting down with GQ, Niall Horan answered a plethora of questions presented to him by his fans. One such fan also seemed to have a keen interest in F1. Thus, they made an interesting observation: “Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris recently following Niall Horan back on Instagram? I’m sensing a golf match.”

However, the singer was oblivious that Leclerc and Norris had recently joined his ever-growing fanbase. He knew that Norris has been following him for some time, while Leclerc on the other hand, was new to the club. Regardless, Horan was up to the idea. ” Yes, I would love to play golf with those gentlemen. I’m a big F1 fan, a fan of both of those guys.”

Horan also commented on the growing amount of drivers flocking to the golf field. ” Yes, I see a lot of F1 guys playing golf these days. Trying to take my thunder. Ah, no, joking.”

And then, the challenge: “Let’s play.” Surely, Lando will be up to show off his golf skills at any given moment. Leclerc, though? We’re not too sure. In fact, Norris and Horan have already met each other on the green, Leclerc can probably learn a thing or two from the duo.

As he mentioned, Horan is a hardcore F1 fan and has even made some appearances at Grand Prix. And while he may want to become golf buds with Leclerc and Norris, his heart lies with someone else.

The driver confessed, “I don’t want to sound like a glory hunter, but I’m a huge Lewis Hamilton fan. He’s a guy I know quite well and obviously an unbelievable driver; he’s got 7 world championships to his name.”

The pop star also had a few honorable mentions to add to his list. “There’s a lot of likable characters in F1… I like Verstappen, I like Leclerc, I like Carlos Sainz, Perez…”

Undoubtedly, Hamilton took the crown. But, even the Mercedes man dabbles in an odd golf game here and there, maybe he could join the club too?
