Lewis Hamilton has garnered a lot of hype and support for his Hollywood project with Brad Pitt. The Apple film tells the tale of two F1 drivers, with Pitt in the lead role. Hamilton has taken up his duties as a producer very seriously by pulling all the strings to make the story as realistic as possible.
Pitt and the Apple crew have been spotted around the F1 paddock, shooting content during race weekends. An important race weekend in this schedule will be the British GP. Brad Pitt will make history as the only non-driver to participate in the iconic driver’s parade before the race.

Taking the lead role in the film, the award-winning star plays the role of a returning F1 legend. In an attempt to capture the true essence of the sport, Pitt will ride along with the F1 grid at the Silverstone Circuit for the driver’s parade.

Being granted special permission from F1, there will be a 21st car in the parade as Pitt, too, will wave along to the fans present. As cited by the Sun, “Watching Brad Pitt lead the field in the British Grand Prix will be an incredible and surreal moment for TV viewers and fans at Silverstone.”
While the release date of the untitled film is yet to be made public, it looks like a lot of real F1 footage is being incorporated into the film. This has been one of the many reasons fans are riled up to watch the movie; apart from the fact that Lewis Hamilton himself is involved.
What do we know about Hamilton’s Hollywood passion project?
The new film, still without a title, is currently in the works by the same team who brought us Top Gun: Maverick. Lewis Hamilton will join the team as a producer and consultant.
The filming is scheduled to commence in the following weeks, based at Silverstone, with some of the action sequences to be shot during actual race events, without disrupting the regular schedule.
During last year’s US GP in Austin, Brad Pitt, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Joseph Kosinski, the producer, and director respectively, held a meeting with team managers. Since then, discussions have been ongoing on the possible involvement of the teams.

Brad Pitt takes the lead role in the film, portraying a retired F1 driver who returns to the sport to serve as a mentor to a younger driver.
While Hamilton features among the cast on IMDB, it appears that his on-screen appearances will be limited to the on-track action, along with other current F1 drivers.
Hamilton is also involved in the casting process, playing a crucial role in selecting Pitt’s co-star. After a rigorous driving audition process, the producers have cast Damson Idris for the role, as reported by Deadline. Idris is widely recognized for his performance as the lead in the FX series “Snowfall.”
