The new Mercedes recruit Mick Schumacher has reportedly been dating Justine Huysman for some time now. Trying to avoid the public eye and media, the duo has been doing pretty well and stayed away from the limelight for quite some time now.

Schumacher and Huysman are so private in their relationship that they have just been photographed twice. As things started to get a bit spicy, close people started to understand that they are “an item.”

It is believed that Schumacher and Huysman, who is worth over $5 million, got closer to each other due to their familial ties. Both Schumacher and Huysman families are top motorsport families in the world.

While the German family is renowned for its involvement in motorsport thanks to Michael Schumacher, the Norwegian family is also a big part of motorsports in Norway and is a part of the history books.

Who is Mick Schumacher dating?

The reported girlfriend of the F1 star is a student of International Law and Legal Studies at the University of Oslo. She’s believed to be fluent in Norwegian, English, and French and has a $5 million net worth, most of which she inherited from her father.

Despite having a social media account, Huysman is as confidential as it gets as the duo takes their privacy seriously. Mick Schumacher has already stated how important confidentiality is for his family in his documentary, “Mick Schumacher” which was released in 2020.

The former Haas driver who lost his seat in 2022, is believed to have met with Huysman at a family function. The bonding between the two families is very good, and most of this is because of their ties with the business world.

Justine Huysman’s family background and racing connection

Huysman is the daughter of former racing driver Harald Huysman. Huysman Sr. has an impressive racing career that includes Benelux and European championship wins.

Apart from this, he was also victorious in F3, World Sports Car Championship, Le Mans, Indy Lights, Toyota Atlantic, Barber Saab Pro Series, and the Porsche Supercup.

After retiring as a racing driver, Huysman Sr. became a manager for world champion Jenson Button. Furthermore, he reportedly helped another world champion Kimi Raikkonen to get into Formula 1 as well as helped other junior racing talents.

As per reports, the Schumachers and Huysmans are shareholders in the Rudskogen race circuit. This circuit is Norway’s national motorsport facility. Both families have ambitions to host the Norwegian Grand Prix when the race track is finished.
