Wk stand F1 2020: The F1 2020 season Driver and Constructors Standings in full, with Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes leading the respective tables.

The Formula One 2020 points standings has a few things to note after a climactic end to the British Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton marshalled his Mercedes on despite a massive puncture. But he managed somehow to get over the line and now leads the driver’s standings

In the Drivers Standings, Lewis Hamilton is top after a hat-trick of wins at Styria, Hungary and Great Britain. He currently has 88 points after four races, and looks set to take him the world championship yet again.

His teammate Valtteri Bottas is second with 58 points, with 3 podium finishes, including a win at the season-opening Austrian Grand Prix. Both combine to give Mercedes an outstanding lead of 68 points over Red Bull in the Constructors Championship table, who have 78 points – 52 from Max Verstappen, and 26 from Alexander Albon.

The Battle of the ‘Rest’

Further down, ‘Last Lap Lando’ Norris has done exceedingly well in his second F1 season, and is currently P4 with 36 points. He took an incredible last lap podium at the Austrian Grand Prix, after Hamilton dropped to 4th from 2nd because of a time-penalty. Norris’ teammate Carlos Sainz is in tenth, helping McLaren to be 3rd on the Constructors standings.

Ferrari have been disappointing this season, and are languishing on 4th in the table. The drivers have had a mixed season, with Charles Leclerc doing well to take two podiums, and is 5th on the driver’s table, with 33 points. His teammate Sebastian Vettel is on the other half of the table at 13th, though, with 10 podium and no podium finishes so far.

The season’s dark horse Racing Point are 5th in the Constructors tally with 42 points, trailing Ferrari by just a solitary point. Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll have contributed 22 and 20 points respectively, with Nico Hulkenberg having a disapppinting comeback to F1 at the British GP, where his RP20 did not start due to a power unit failure.

At the bottom, Alfa Romeo and Haas have done well to open their accounts, and have 2 and 1 points respectively. Williams’ George Russell and Nicholas Latifi are yet to finish a race in the Top 10.
