Fan asks Smriti Mandhana if she’s single. This is what she replied during a question and answer session on her Instagram.

With all the achievements to her name already, it’s hard to believe that Smriti Mandhana is only 23 years old. The Current female ODI player and best female cricketer of the year is pushing boundaries of what it means to be a woman cricketer.

She started her career with a bang by becoming the first Indian woman to achieve a double hundred in a One Day game when she scored an unbeaten 224 off 150 balls in the West Zone Under-19 Tournament in 2013.

Recently, she became the fastest Indian woman and the third fastest woman after Belinda Clark and Meg Lanning to reach the landmark of 2,000 ODI runs. She achieved the feat in just 51. The charismatic opener has scored 2,025 runs in 51 ODIs at an average of 43.08, including four centuries and 17 fifties in her ODI career.

Her success in the sport has earned her a plethora of fans; some of whom are quite interested in the happenings of her private life. Therefore, when the cricketer engaged in a question and answer session, after being forced by teammate Jemimah Rodriquez, on Instagram a fan used the opportunity to ask her if she was single. Mandhana responded to the question with a maybe leaving her answer quite open ended.

Mandhana also revealed that she has had a crush on Hrithik Roshan since she was 10 years old.

The 23-year old returned from injuries to do what she does best; score runs for fans. Her 74 of 63 balls helped India win the third ODI and the series vs West Indies 2-1. The teams are currently in the middle of a 5 match T20 series with India already in a 2-0 lead. The Indian side will hope to continue their winning momentum for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in February in Australia.
