Footage from inside Barcelona's dressing room emerges after 4-0 defeat against Liverpool

Footage from inside Barcelona’s room after Barcelona faces 4-0 defeat against Liverpool in the second leg of the Champions League semifinal.

Barcelona is releasing a documentary series named Matchday, which offers behind the scenes moments in Barcelona’s key games from the last season.

According to the Marca, in the 7th episode of the series, which is titled ‘The eighteen-day storm’ – explores that night at Anfield, it includes the moments from the dressing room after the match ends into being the worst night for the club.

Barcelona’s elimination from the Champions League is undoubtedly the biggest upset faced by them in the last decade. The Catalans were ahead by 3-0 in the first leg but a dramatic 4-0 win by Liverpool at the Anfield knocked Barcelona out with absolute humiliation.

The footage revealed from the episode shows, Barcelona players as they sit shell-shocked in the dressing room at full-time. Not even a single word is spoken in the 45-second long clip.

One shot of Philippe Coutinho, Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic looking crestfallen sums it up. Nobody in the dressing room was ready to belive the horror happened that night.

On the other side, a few days ago a trailer dropped where popstar Shakira was shown watching the semi-final second leg with her children. Just before Liverpool’s third goal, her son says: “If it stays like this, it doesn’t matter. We’ll go through to the final.”

But seconds later, Georginio Wijnaldum makes it 3-3. Shakira then screams: “No, I can’t believe it! No!” From there Barcelona didn’t take long to concede again.
