Frank Lampard: Former Chelsea Captain calls Lampard managerial move to Stamford Bridge 'too soon'

Frank Lampard: Former Chelsea Captain claims that Lampard’s managerial move to Stamford Bridge is ‘too soon’, citing his inexperience.

Frank Lampard is massively speculated to replace Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea, after the latter left to join Juventus last week to take up the managerial job at the Turin based club.

The Chelsea legend was favoured to be hired by the Chelsea’s hierarchy after his heroic stint with the Derby in the Championship. Moreover, Chelsea want to land someone who can trust the young academy players as they are amidst a transfer ban. Thus, Lampard seems as a right option to the Blues.

However, According to a report by the SkySports, the former Chelsea captain and legend Dennis Wise is not satisfied with the move and opines different from the Chelsea’s hierarchy.

“Is it too soon for him? I think it is. I look at the staff he may bring in as well. Jody may come alongside him and he’s a bit inexperienced in a coaching capacity.” said Dennis Wise to Skysports in an interaction.

“If Frank does come in, he probably needs to bring someone with a bit of experience. There probably will be some changes, because he’ll want to bring his own staff in.

“Chris Jones, who was there [at Chelsea] before, is at Derby with him. He’s the fitness guy and he’s got good experience. But on the coaching side of things I worry.”

“Frank, from a playing and personal point of view, everyone loves him at Chelsea, but he hasn’t been long in coaching, and neither has Jody. It worries me a little bit, but if they get it I wish them all the luck. It’s going to be tough for them, but fingers crossed they do the right thing for Chelsea.” he further said.

On the other side, Chelsea also have very options, since they are amidst a transfer ban, and with Eden Hazard departed the club for Real Madrid. Chelsea is not looking as a favourable destination for the top managers.

At the same time, many are confident that Lampard will be a success with his new adventure and soon on the verge to sign for the club.
