Frank Lampard: Harry Redknapp makes a statement over his nephew Frank Lampard joining Chelsea as a manager after Maurizio Sarri’s exit.
Frank Lampard is massively speculated to join Chelsea as a manager, and the reports have further fueled after Maurizio Sarri’s exit from Stamford Bridge for Juventus.
According to a interview by TalkSport with Harry Redknapp, he has revealed that his nephew Frank Lampard and Chelsea legend is on the verge to be announced as a manager of the Blues.
‘I think it will be a major surprise if he does not get the job. It looks to me as though it will happen,’ he told talkSPORT on Monday morning.
‘It’s brilliant for him. A shame for Derby. He has gone up there and done a good job.
‘I’m sure Derby loved having him there, the fans and everybody so it will be a shame for them, the club, the fans, but for Chelsea it is a great move for them.
‘He is idolised at Chelsea. He is a genuine legend there. He knows the game, he knows what it’s about, he has a touch of class and I think he will be great.’
It is rumoured that Chelsea have officially made a contact with Derby to hire the services of Lampard. In respone, Derby has asked for £4 million compensation fee from Chelsea, as the former English International is still in the middle of the contract with his current side.
Chelsea are expected to make Lampard as their next boss, and it seems if everything goes right, Lampard can be announced very soon. Since, the West-London club wanted to find the suitable replacement of Sarri first before releaing him.
Thus, it looks like, the hierarchy at Chelsea have decided to bring Lampard ahead of the next season.

There’s a lot of “Frank Lampard knows the club” and nowhere near enough “is Frank Lampard any good at coaching” talk. Derby were hideous. Parallels of OGS a godsend for Man Utd. These are guys expected to challenge Klopp, Pep and Poch.

What’s next?
Whosoever will be the next manger will have to deal with the transfer crises, as the club is penalized with transfer ban for a year.
