Frank Lampard is bound to take over Chelsea and the announcement date of that matter is known.
Frank Lampard will fill the vacant managerial role at Chelsea after Maurizio Sarri’s departure to Juventus. The Blues were in search of a manager following the evitable exit of the Italian and Lampard has been chosen as the right candidate to take the club forward.
According to the reliable ESPNFC, the Blues are welcome Frank Lampard as early as next week. Roman Abramovic is aware of Lampard’s track record, who nearly steered Derby County to the Premier League as they fell agonisingly short in the Playoff final against Aston Villa.
Chelsea are prepared to pay £4 million to secure his services, but the Championship club is coy on securing a replacement before cutting down the allegiance. The English International is expected to sign a three-year contract and be accompanied by former Chelsea academy coach Jody Morris and long-time fitness coach Chris Jones.
Derby wanted to keep hold of their manager and were reported to offer him a contract extension. However, the reported interest from Chelsea has turned his head, who looks forward to working with his former teammate Petr Cech. The former Blues shot-stopper was appointed as the club’s new technical and performance adviser on Friday.
Cech will provide the pathway for the youngsters to ease them into the first team and will travel with the senior squad for both home and away games. Another member of Chelsea’s first Premier League title-winning team, Claude Makelele, has also been linked with a role helping to look after loan players, while academy coach Joe Edwards will be promoted.
