Fred racially abused by Manchester City fan during derby game

Fred racially abused by Manchester City fan amidst derby game in the 16th game-week of the Premier League season, as Manchester United dominate.

Racism is already a huge issue in world football, where whole football fraternity ardently opposes the disgraceful act. Yet, in one of the biggest football encounters in the world, an act of racism managed to take place.

Manchester United’s Fred was racially abused by a Manchester City fan when the Brazilian went to take the free-kick. The Red Devils were winning the game by 2-0 at that point of time.

In response, Manchester City fans were infuriated with their team’s performance and were hostile towards their city rivals. Thus, during Manchester United’s first corner in the game, the Citizens threw stuff at Fred.

But this was not all, amidst this, a fan was spotted making alleged monkey imitations and slurs in front of Fred while he was stepping out to take the corner. Probably, Fred did not notice it but the camera at the game surely did.
