Hogwarts Legacy is slated to release for PS4 and Xbox One on May 5, 2023. The game was initially released for the current generation of consoles and PC on February 10, 2023. Developer Avalanche Software stated that the three months delay was to ensure that the game was virtually bug-free for previous generation consoles.
Addressing the delay, Avalanche Software said: “We’re overwhelmed with gratitude for the response to Hogwarts Legacy from fans around the globe. The team is working hard to deliver the best possible experience on all platforms and we need more time to do this.”
Hogwarts Legacy Xbox One and PS4 release date and time
While the wait for the game has been long, players who had pre-ordered the online edition of the game will be able to play it at 12 AM ET from May 5, 2023 onwards.
As far as the time for the game’s release in each region is concerned, players will be able to play the game from midnight onwards, depending on the region they’re in.
Additionally, Hogwarts Legacy updated their fanbase and said: “If you pre-ordered the Xbox One Digital Deluxe Edition, or already own the Xbox Series X/S Digital Deluxe Edition, the Xbox One game will be added to your inventory at 12 AM ET globally on May 5th.”
How many editions are there in Hogwarts Legacy?
The game is available in three editions: Standard, Deluxe and Collectors’ editions. The latter two editions come with perks of their own, which are not a part of the standard edition.
