The VEL 46 is a good SMG in Warzone 2.0 Season 4 with a competitive TTK in comparison to all of its rivals. This guide will take a look at the best VEL 46 Loadout in the game.
The Warzone 2.0 meta currently revolves around the Assault Rifles. However, the SMGs are still the king of close-range gunfights. Among them, the VEL 46 has made quite a name for itself due to its faster fire rate and damage.
It is still overshadowed by the ISO 45 and the Lachmann Sub. However, this guide will aim to make the VEL 46 just as good if not better than the other weapons in the game. Along with that, we will also look at the secondary weapon and the perks you can use in the loadout. Without further ado, let us get into it.

The Best VEL 46 Loadout You Can Use in Warzone 2.0 Season 4
The VEL 46 is a really accurate close-range weapon with high mobility and competitive damage. Therefore, it won’t have any problems dealing with any enemies in close proximity. The Warzone 2.0 devs monitor the game really closely to ensure that the players don’t indulge in just a single weapon while the other ones become useless.
That is why the Season 4 patches have been nerfing/buffing various weapons to increase their viability in the player base. However, the VEL 46 has always been reliable but due to the existence of other SMGs like the Lachmann Sub, the ISO 45, and the Fennec in the earlier seasons, it did not get much limelight. That being said, let us take a look at how you can unlock the weapon.
How to Unlock the VEL 46 in Warzone 2.0
This weapon is the easiest to unlock in the game because it will be available to you right from the start. You won’t have to grind any other weapon to get it. All you have to do is reach Rank 4 to unlock Gunsmith and this weapon will be available to you.
However, you will still need to use the weapon a lot in the game to get it leveled up so you can use the attachments we will list below.

- Magazine: 50-Round Mag
- Stock: Demo RXT Stock
- Underbarrel: Lockgrip Precision-40
- Muzzle: Lockshot KT85
- Laser: VLK LZR 7mW
We start off the loadout with a 50-Round Magazine because we will require those additional bullets to combat multiple enemies in close-quarters combat. Because this SMG is accurate enough, we can use it in relatively medium ranges as well. Therefore, you will need the extra bullets to confirm kills.
The Demo RXT Stock is to increase the overall mobility and speed of the weapon. It provides stat boosts to the ADS speed, crouch movement speed, and sprint speed making you faster in close ranges. Follow that up with Lockgrip Precision-40.
The Lockgrip Precision-40 offers a variety of bonuses to the weapon. It increases the hip-fire accuracy, reduces the gun kick and offers more control, and also increases the aim walking steadiness of the weapon. The only con of this attachment is that it decreases the ADS speed.
The next attachment is the Lockshot KT85 Muzzle. Unlike most muzzles, this one is meant to control our horizontal and vertical recoil. In combination with the Lockgrip, we will be more precise and accurate with our shots with this weapon which is vital for close-range engagements.
The last attachment will be the VLK LZR 7mW which will boost our mobility further by providing stat boosts for ADS speed, aiming stability, and sprint-to-fire speed.
Secondary, Perks and Equipment
Since you have such a strong close-range weapon, we recommend you run something like an LMG or a Sniper Rifle for long-range engagements. Depending on the map, it would be a wise choice for you to have a weapon that can help you in longer ranges because an SMG can only shoot so far.
We recommend either the Sakin MG 38 or the MCPR-300 Sniper Rifle. Although, you can always go with their counterparts, the RAAL MG and the FJX Imperium respectively. That being said, the perk setup will be as follows.
- Base Perk 1: Overkill
- Base Perk 2: Double Time
- Bonus Perk: Fast Hands
- Ultimate Perk: Ghost
- Lethal: Semtex
- Tactical Equipment: Stun/Smoke Grenade
The first perk is Overkill which will allow us to carry a secondary primary with us. Follow that up with Double Time since it doubles the duration of our tactical sprint. In addition, it also increases the crouch movement speed by 30%.
Fast Hands is a staple if you are rocking two primaries because it will allow you to switch between them faster. Although there are other benefits to this perk as well like faster reloads, and faster equipment using speed.
Ghost is important in the current meta since everyone is always spamming UAVs. That is why, you will need this perk to stay off the minimap and Heartbeat Sensors. For the lethal, we will use the Semtex which is going to help us tremendously in finishing off enemies. Just lob one near a downed enemy and watch the magic happen.
A Stun or a Smoke Grenade is a good idea depending on your playstyle. Although, we do recommend Smokes because it is much better to get away from a gunfight if you are at a disadvantage.
Why Should You Use This Loadout
This loadout is going to be especially helpful in close-range combat due to the mobility and stability provided by the attachments. You can use that to run circles around the enemies and have deadly precision up close. In addition, your other primary can help in dealing with long-range combat should you get in a fight.
The perks perfectly complement both the weapons you will be using and the equipment will definitely aid in avoiding/killing off downed enemies. If you liked this VEL 46 loadout in Warzone 2.0, perhaps you’d like some of our others. Click here to check them out.
