The much-awaited official Genshin Impact 3.8 livestream has revealed exciting information about the upcoming content. With new areas, banners, and events, players are indeed looking forward to the latest update. Read on for the detailed summary of the livestream if you missed it!
The version 3.8 update is approaching its release, and players have gained some official insight into what is to come. The recent Twitch Special Program by HoYoverse has given away a lot of details regarding the next patch. The developers have also released three new redemption codes to gain some precious Primogems.
Version 3.8 is officially called Secret Summer Paradise, and its prime focus will be a limited-time event in a temporary area similar to the Golden Apple Archipelago. The version also brings us extremely close to the Fontaine update in the following patch. The next section will cover all the details about the livestream.

Genshin Impact 3.8 livestream codes
The codes that were released during the Genshin Impact 3.8 Special Program livestream are mentioned below with their respective rewards:
- QBQ2NH6DB4Z9: 100 Primogems and 10 Enhancement Ores
- 2SR3PY7CA52V: 100 Primogems and 5 Hero’s Wit
- 6A836GNUA52Z: 100 Primogems and 50,000 Mora
There are two ways to redeem the codes: through the official HoYoverse website or from the game’s ‘Settings’ menu. Once redeemed, players can claim rewards through the in-game mail system, which includes 300 Primogems, 10 Enhancement Ores, 5 Hero’s Wit, and 50,000 Mora.
However, players must receive these rewards with an Adventure Rank of 10 or higher. The prizes will be sent to players via in-game email and can be claimed within 30 days. It’s recommended to claim the rewards promptly.
It’s important to note that the codes must be redeemed within 16 hours, and they will expire on June 24, 12:00 AM (UTC-4).
Genshin Impact 3.8 character and weapon banners
The update is scheduled to go live on or around July 5. Instead of introducing new five-star characters in the upcoming update, both phases will feature reruns of existing ones. The first phase will bring back a much-awaited rerun of Eula along with Klee. In the second phase, players can expect the return of Kokomi and Wanderer as five-star characters. If Genshin Impact follows its usual 6-week patch cycle, the second phase will appear around July 26.
The weapon banners associated with the update will feature the signature weapons of the featured five-star characters. In the first phase, players can anticipate the return of Song of Broken Pines and Lost Prayers to the Sacred Winds. Then, in the second phase, the banners will include the Everlasting Moonglow and Tulaytullah’s Remembrance.
Bottleland Legends and a new area
The most exciting part of the new update is perhaps the new area called Bottleland or Veluriyam Mirage, a Secret Summer Paradise. The map will be available in the game for a limited time, only during this patch, similar to the previously released area of the Golden Apple Archipelago. Bottleland is an ancient mysterious area that doesn’t appear on any existing map. During the livestream, the voice actors narrate an engaging story of the map and a mage.
The involvement of Klee in the event quest and her voice in the livestream poses the possibility that there might be more information about her in the upcoming update. At the end of the story, it is also mentioned that Alice creates the area for her daughter Klee.
The rewards for the event are pretty enticing, as we got a glimpse of the same. A new outfit for Kaeya can be obtained for free during the event duration. There will be specific Vouchers spread throughout the map. Players can use the help of some tools provided to them- crystals that can reveal the location of these Vouchers, to collect them. They can obtain the Kaeya skin after collecting enough Vouchers.
Furthermore, players can get a free character, Layla, once they meet the criteria of the event gameplay. Other rewards will include Primogems, Crown of Insight, Character and Weapon Materials, and Mora, among other things. Players can also expect to be able to farm a lot of Primogems by exploring the new area and opening chests.
A five-star outfit for Klee will also be made available in this version. This can be purchased at a discount during the event using real-life currency.
Mini-games
The event will also have four new mini-games:
- Spino Blaster: A fascinating water gun mini-game that will enable players to shoot Hydro bullets at target balls. There will be different types of balls that will help players score points. The ammunition in the gun can be reloaded.
- Soujorns of the Barking Fox: In this game, collect Adventure Coins using a floating fox gadget. There will be disruption orbs to avoid in this timed-challenge
- Dance of Flashing Thoughts: A combat mini-event on a stage with theater characters. There will be good buffs to obtain.
- Bibg-Bang Finchball: A Finchball game where players can launch balls on a table. The table will have different zones demarcated with additional points. Players should try to time the launch correctly, as they can score points depending on where their ball ends.
New features
Apart from the event mini-games, the area will introduce two overworld features:
- Streaming Projector: A 2D game where travelers have to cross obstacles in a projection. The characters can come out of the projection to readjust the obstacles to cross the path.
- Choo-choo cart: A cart mechanism like a rollercoaster that runs on tracks. Players can ride on these to complete challenges.

Apart from the feature event for the update, the other events that have been announced during the livestream for Genshin Impact 3.8 are:
Kaeya’s Hangout Quest
A much-awaited Hangout quest will finally be released in the game. Players have been awaiting a Hangout Quest for Kaeya since his release in version 1.0, which will be seen in version 3.8.
Shared Sight
Travelers will have to assist a researcher who needs to collect experimental data. For this event, find and recover some small animals. Travelers can equip a mirror that will show the surroundings from the animals’ point of view for clues.
Periloius expedition
A combat event aimed to explore Sumeru’s complex geography. There will be stackable buffs depending on how varied your team composition is. There will be three fights in each challenge.
Adventurer’s Trial
Based in Mondstadt, this event will have Sequential Trials in a domain. Mini-games will involve fun activities such as flying through adventure coins, kicking slimes, and much more.
The Forge Realm’s Temper: Endless Swarm
A new TCG mode will also be available, where players must defeat as many enemies as possible in a given time. Different levels will have additional features in this mode.
