The Genshin Impact Unreconciled Stars Event is live for 15 days & comes with great rewards. So find all the meteorite locations here & grab the rewards.
Events seem to be rolling in nonstop ever since the Genshin Impact 1.1 update patch by miHoYo. In fact, their answer to both new content & better endgame content, for the time being, seems to lie in these events. And while that is no long term solution, the events are fun & the rewards are cool nonetheless. So, without nitpicking, let’s get down to business.
Genshin Impact Unreconciled Stars Event: Basic Info.
The event is divided into 3 parts and runs from 16th to the 30th of November. Of these three parts, the first, “Unknown Star”, begins today itself. After that, the second is “Star of Deceitful Dreams” & begins on the 18th. And finally, the last part of the event, “Star of Destiny” goes live on the 23rd.
In order to access this mission, as a prerequisite, you need to be above Adventure Rank 20. Once you are sure of that, talk to Katherine of the Adventurers’ Guild in Mondstadt to set the “Unknown Star” Quest in motion.
The Unreconciled Stars Event Boosts & Rewards.
Now, before we get to the walkthrough & meteorite locations, let’s talk of the rewards.
You’ll get two special items as rewards for this event – Fading Star’s Might & Fading Star’s Essence. A player can accumulate both of these over the course of the next 15 event days. Once you gather enough, you can exchange them in the Event Shop for ascension materials & other rewards. However, keep in mind that the event shop will be active from 16th Nov to 6th Dec only. So, you need to claim your rewards during this time, otherwise, they’ll be lost.
Also, certain characters will receive a stat boost during the event. Their DMG will be boosted by 60% while playing these challenges. These characters are Tartaglia, Mona, Fischl, Lisa, Beidou, Ningguang, Noelle, Chongyun, and Xiangling.

The Unknown Star Event: Guide & Meteorite Locations.
Now that we’re done with all the general info, let’s get down to business. Once you set the Unknown Star Quest in motion by talking to Katherine, you’ll have to collect Meteorite Shards from 3 different locations. These are the regions around Guyun Stone Forest, Qingce Village & Starfell Lake.
To locate the shards, open the Unreconciled Events page & select the Unknown Star event option. Then, click on one of the three places under the “Unknown Star – Overture” option. Once you do, a map will open up and highlight the spot you need to travel to. The minimum no. of shards you need to collect to claim the reward of 30 Primogems & 20k Mora thrice is just 7. However, at each of these places, you’ll have at least 10-16 shards lying around.
Here are their usual locations in case you need them. Once you move near a shard, a blue highlighted circle will appear indicating the possible location. All you need to do is grab the shards by interacting with them and you’ll receive some Fading Star’s Might for each.
