Guendouzi on Fellaini

Guendouzi on Fellaini: The Arsenal midfielder has reacted to the hair-pull incident, taking a sly dig at the United star.

Arsenal were held to a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford by Manchester United last night. Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard were among the goalscorers for Manchester United as the side came from behind on both the occasions to deny Arsenal the win.

Earlier, Shkodran Mustafi gave Arsenal the lead with a header, while Rojo scored an own goal in the second half to make it 2-1 for the Gunners.

However, the hair-pull incident, which involved Marouane Fellaini and Matteo Guendouzi, was one of the significant talking points of the game. The referee awarded a free-kick on the foul, but Marouane Fellaini was not punished.

After Guendouzi’s teammate, Alexandre Lacazette reacted funnily to the incident on Instagram, the midfielder has now commented on the incident as well.

Guendouzi on Fellaini:

Matteo Guendouzi has now reacted to the incident in a rather funny way, like his teammate, Alexandre Lacazette. The Arsenal midfielder has stated that Fellaini is ‘jealous’ of his hair, now that the United midfielder has had a haircut.

“I think there is a bit of jealousy there,” Guendouzi said. “Maybe he can’t accept the fact that he chose to go back to short hair.”

The French midfielder was not the only one who took a hilarious dig at Fellaini. Robert Huth, who was banned for three games for committing a similar foul on Fellaini two years ago, stated that the midfielder has ‘learnt’ from him.

“Looks like I taught him well,” Huth wrote.

What next?

Arsenal will now face Huddersfield in the league, where they’ll aim to return to winning ways and close the gap with their London rivals, Tottenham and Chelsea.
