Ajax have stamped their authority throughout the first half by having plenty of possession and shots on target. The Dutch outfit opened the scoring through their Skipper Matthijs De Ligt in the fourth minute with a thumping header. Heung Min Son had an excellent chance, but they were not able to make it count as he placed the ball straight into Andre Onana’s hands.
The hosts broke through a counter-attack and Dusan Tadic, who is opted to start through the left flank over David Neres, made no mistake by picking Hakim Ziyech inside the penalty box. The Moroccan International got exceptional connection to drift the ball away from the shot-stopper Hugo Lloris.
Ziyech did not bother to take a touch, he rather met it perfectly to place the ball in the top corner. Toby Alderweireld tried to close him down, but Ziyech had so much space to pick the spot and hand no chance to Lloris. It was a finish of top order to put the tie beyond the eyesight of Mauricio Pochettino’s side who need three goals to qualify for the finals of the Champions League.

It was an extraordinary finish and Ajax are now leading 3-0 in the aggregate score and look likely to set up the final clash with Liverpool at Wanda Metropolitano on June 1.
