Harbhajan Singh tweets for MS Dhoni and Ambati Rayudu after CSK’s win

Two times champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) took on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Saturday (5th) in the going Indian Premier League (IPL) season. CSK won the toss and the CSK skipper MS Dhoni elected to bowl first.

Coming into bat, RCB couldn’t muster a good total on the board on the slow and dry wicket at Pune. Only Parthiv Patel showed some intent and played a supportive half-century. In the end, RCB’s inning got some impetus by the quick cameo of Tim Southee.

Ravindra Jadeja picked 3 wickets and conceded only 18 runs in his 4 overs. RCB posted a total of just 127 against the mighty batting of CSK.

CSK had to find a good opening partnership in order to chase down the target and that was provided by Rayudu and Watson, followed by a good cameo from Raina.

But it was Dhoni in the end, who kept his calm and despite the required run-rate creeping up, he took it upon himself to smash Yuzvendra Chahal in the 18th over and finish off the game.

After the victory, Harbhajan Singh took it to twitter to celebrate the victory. He posted that he loves being on the field and he loves what he do. He also praised Jadeja, Dhoni and Rayudu for their performance in the game.

Harbhajan struck 2 times with the ball and conceded only 22 runs in his four-over spell. He impressed the captain cool Dhoni with his performance. Dhoni praised the spinning duo at the post-match presentation.

“Spinners did not get turn (from the track) and I felt they needed to bowl really well. That’s where Bhajju pa (Harbhajan) and Jadeja did well. On surfaces such as these, Jadeja bowls really well. He got Virat and then AB getting out (to Harbhajan) early helped him. We bowled well as a team,” Dhoni said after the match.
