BCCI comes up with a special tweet for Dhoni and Raina fans
The buzz for this season’s IPL is starting to grow week by week, as India’s annual cricketing carnival will return in just a few weeks by now.
After a two-year hiatus, CSK will return to the IPL amidst much fan fare. The Chennai outfit have been one of the iconic teams in the league’s history, and the absence of the two-time IPL champions was felt by everyone.
MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina will once again lineup together for CSK this year, as Chennai’s two favourite sons will proudly don the famous yellow jersey.
Raina has also made a comeback into the T20I side, as the left-hander was recalled for the T20I series against South Africa.
After demolishing South Africa in six-match ODI series, India will be looking to take this form into the shortest format of the game.
Raina will be looking to make the most out of his opportunity, as another poor performance could see him out of the side for good. The highest run-scorer in IPL history, Suresh Raina is a T20 specialist who, on his day, in a sensational player to have in your team.
BCCI recently posted a video in which Raina and Dhoni were seen practising in the nets ahead of the first T20I at Johannesburg.
Raina looked in great touch with the bat, as he was middling every ball that came his way. Indian fans can now only hope that he produces a Raina special in the match later today.
