Hitman 3 will now include Hitman 1 and 2, to be rebranded 'World of Assassination'

Developer IO Interactive recently made an announcement regarding the Hitman franchise. While no new game was announced, a brand new Hitman bundle was revealed. This bundle rebrands Hitman 3 to Hitman: World of Assassination and includes previously released content. From January 26, 2023, fans will be able to purchase all the content from previous releases under one listing. Here are all the details.

Hitman: World of Assassination to include content from all three franchise entries

The new bundle will be offered in two variants:

  1. HITMAN – World of Assassination (approx. $70 USD or local equivalent)
Includes: HITMAN 3, plus H1 GOTY Access Pass and H2 Standard Access Pass.
  2. HITMAN – World of Assassination Deluxe Pack (approx. $30 USD or local equivalent)
Includes: H3 Deluxe Pack, H3 Seven Deadly Sins Collection, and H2 Expansion Access Pass.

This move aims to streamline the buying options for the trilogy while providing better value for players. Additionally, Steam users won’t need to shell out any extra cash for DLC they already own. According to the official IOI blog:

“On Steam, we are going to implement ‘complete the set’ functionality for the three DLC packs included in the HITMAN World of Assassination Deluxe Pack (H3 Deluxe Pack, H3 Seven Deadly Sins Collection, and H2 Expansion Access Pass). This will mean you only pay an even split for whatever content you don’t own. For example, if you own 2 of the DLCs, you’ll only pay $10 for the remaining DLC, rather than having to pay full price for the full Deluxe Pack.”

Those who prefer buying their DLC from the in-game store will find updated listings inside. These listings will be at a reduced price and will not force players to buy content they already own. Finally, the older listings of the first and second games will be removed from all storefronts. This way, players will only be directed to the complete trilogy in World of Assassination.
